surprisingly enough, what i detested most about trot lovers (and ji hyun-woo’s character was high up there) was the second female lead (forgetting her name). i mean, she was just evil. i can’t stand the evil character trope in kdramas, and i honestly got fed up with all the lies and tricks. i don’t know why the writers thought people would like to watch such evilness. and not supervillain evil. just regular old boring normal people evil.

Yeah, that plot line was pretty terrible. I think I was willing to give her the benefit of the doubt (because I don’t mind evil characters to a point, since for brainless rom-coms you have to have some sort of villain) until she nearly murdered Eunji and then AMNESIA and the show went off the rails.

I kept holding out hope for the show because I do really love trot music and was hoping it’d spark this new wave of trot pop songs for the younger generation (and I love Eunji!), but that show was one of the worst I’ve ever stuck with and I continue demand those hours spent on it to be returned to my life.
