Yeeeessss?
I’m not so good with them either, and I distinctly remember telling myself “ohhhh that’s gonna be a jump scare” to prep myself and I was pretty much right. Which is to say they’re actually kind of telegraphed, if that makes sense.
I think the worst is the first ghost, which, thanks to the preview I saw at Finding Dory earlier that day, meant I knew something was coming with her (I don’t recommend 3D just because of that part, unless you’re into ecto-goo vomit, which I am not).
Most of the ghost stuff is more action oriented than trying to be scary – at least, that was my take, especially as someone who really doesn’t like spooky stuff.
I’m totally planning on seeing it again, though, so I’ll try to pay closer attention and report back.
