Got home to find my Christmas care package from my parents waiting for me, and amidst all the treats’n’snacks was this cutie.

It made me laugh not just because my parents still think of me as “their little girl,” but also because it used to be tradition for “Santa” to leave a toy by my bed while I was sleeping so when I woke up, I’d be entertained until my parents were ready to face Christmas Day.

It also delighted me because I had mentioned to Mum while we were at DLP how beautiful I thought “Vaiana” was (because it’s not “Moana” in Europe) and how I loved that it came with her chieftess headdress.

Sometimes it’s nice to be reminded that you have parents who pay attention to even the silly things you say, and who want to give you something that serves no purpose except to bring you joy.
