Ramen delivery on a cold and snowy day! My bowl wasn’t big enough to to hold it all (and I couldn’t find any bigger ones in the work kitchen), so I’ll be eating my ramen in courses. šNot the best ramen I’ve ever had, but it hits the spot.
My sleep-deprived cough-ridden body carefully dragged itself into work, even giving extra time to chip the ice off my car and drive approx. 20 mph the whole way there, only to discover nearly everyone decided to work from home and in an hour Iād be by myself. So I get to work here for an hour and then take my laptop home to work from there. Fun.
Haha, just kidding, some people came in this afternoon so I’ll stay for a few more hours but I did just order ramen to be delivered to me. Which will be an exciting adventure because my old job was out of everyone’s delivery radius. It was the only decent sounding ramen delivery option I could find so hopefully it lives up to my craving expectations.

Itās almost 6am and Iāve barely slept because of this stupid cough. I donāt have any cough suppressants at home so I tried to tough it out but clearly that is not working. Iāve given up my morning plans and reset my alarm to a half-hour before I need to leave for work to hopefully get a couple of hours of sleep since I think my tiredness is gonna win out over my need to cough.
Just came back from watching Jumanji with an old workmate friend. It was fun catching up with her but it also fun watching a big olā fun, dumb movie with a lot of heart. I was terrified of the original when I saw it as a kid because it felt bleak and dark and I, a very impressionistic and sensitive kid, was freaked out by the idea of being sucked into a game like that.
However, this one is perfect popcorn watching and it met my expectations (dumb and fun) to perfection.
We saw it a the Alamo (ācause food and adult drinks) where in their pre-show line-up (if youāve been to an Alamo Drafthouse, youāll know what I mean) they showed clips of Jack Blackās stint on Infinite Challenge, which was a delightful surprise (and confused me why they would show it until I was like,Ā āoh, duh, heās the star of the movie Iām about to watchā).
As a side-note: she was one of the people I used as a reference when I was applying for my current job, and she told me that my (now) boss basically told her it was a formality and that theyād pretty much decided to give me the job after my interview, which was a surprise because I thought I did just okay in the interview and probably wasnāt what they were looking for. Just goes to show that you should never underestimate yourself.
I’ve been at this job literally a week and one of the directors just came up to me to tell me how much he appreciates that I’m part of the company. He specifically said he enjoys my promptness in completing tasks and communication with everyone.
Which I think says more about the person before me than my actual skills, but seriously everyone here is so nice I’m convinced it must be a secret cult.
Handsome Oppa and Jo Jung Suk are starring in AmadeusĀ the musical next month (not at the same time, but in the same role), and Iām so excited I can barely breathe.
I just want everyone to know that Blackās final episode aired Dec 10th and there still isnāt a day that goes by where someone isnāt debating/questioning/gnashing their teeth about the ending.
