There’s nothing in a bawdy house that can shock me, of that I swear.
an endless list of that can’t-eat, can’t-sleep, reach-for-the-stars, over-the-fence, world series kind of stuff movies
while you were sleeping (1995); “I’d say that she gets under your skin as soon as you meet her. She drives you so nuts you don’t know whether to hug her or, or just really arm wrestle her. She would go all the way to Europe just to get a stamp in her passport. I don’t know if that amounts to insanity, or just being really, really… likable.”

“Shall we take a walk?”
“You don’t have to take me home. I’m already dating someone, you know.”

I got in trouble taking this pic of the proscenium set piece, but just wanted to point out that there’s a hidden Mickey in the “runes.”
I dunno if it’s the double champagne cocktail on an empty stomach speaking, but the show is growing on me. The beginning took a while for me to be invested but the little Anna was super adorbs and saved it for me (I also had to stifle a laugh at the “effects” which were pretty elementary and not what I was expecting from a multi-million dollar production).
Also as a Broadway nerd I’m not used to being surrounded by so many little kids – you can’t shush a four-year-old and not look like a jerk, y’know?
But Kristoff is Black which is pretty hella awesome, although the best cast member by far is whomever is in the Sven puppet.
Unofficial verdict during Lyft ride home:
It was enjoyable but somehow lacking the magic (heh) that could make it feel extra special. Then again, I’m not a four-year-old girl, so maybe that’s why I felt a missing spark.
The cast was phenomenal, though, and seriously whomever was in the Sven puppet gets all my love because that was some incredible artistry.
