Just got back from dinner and movie with some peeps. Experienced my first TGI Fridays since I’ve left England which was more fun than I was expecting but that was probably more due to the company than the food (but I was utterly delighted that it’s totally acceptable to have an entire meal of appetizers).

I don’t know if “Girls Trip” is a flick I would normally choose to watch if left to my own devices because I don’t generally like raunchy comedies, but I laughed A LOT and had barrels of fun and now I want a posse to go party with in New Orleans. Also I will forever love Queen Latifah and this was my introduction to Tiffany Haddish but she is a DELIGHT. Also also Jada is adorably tiny and Regina Hall looks like a Disney princess (but all the ladies were gorgeous and omg their clothes ❤️).

Honestly I probably enjoyed it a lot more by going with friends just because I could appreciate the sisterhood theme a lot more when there are actually people sitting next to you with tales of shenanigans. I think I’ve said “a lot more” a lot (more) but the point is it was a fun night and I am happily tired and forgot that sometimes you need to spend time with people instead of always focusing on work or being happy alone. My introvert side can be too strong for its own good.

Can you please recommend some dramas with funny male leads?

Humor is subjective but I’ll do my best:

  • History of a Salaryman
  • Protect the Boss
  • Flower Boy Next Door
  • When It’s At Night
  • Sly and Single Again
  • Super Family 2017
  • Hong Gil Dong (2008)
  • Flower Grandpa Investigation Team

I don’t think I watch enough comedies to really give a lot of recommendations. I can think of a lot of funny actors, but often they’re in semi-serious dramas but allowed to have their humorous moments. Or I can think of tons of funny secondary or third characters, but my mind goes blank when it comes to the lead.
