I may be a little bit tipsy bc dinner included lotsa wine and beer but I just wanna say that Rachel and Astrid are the ideal power couple and I may not really read fanfiction but please tell me that somewhere out there they’re being shipped together where they take down the Young dynasty and end up ruling the world together from their funky Greenwich loft.

Pics of the Highlight boys flooding my IG feed as every single one wishes their leader a safe enlistment and Doojoon with his newly shorn hair and Dongwoon on FaceTime but they’re still including him in the photo, oh my heart. 😭

I still haven’t had a chance to watch this week’s eps of Let’s Eat 3 but I’m already dreading it knowing that this has unexpectedly become the penultimate week of the show.

I just purchased a stupidly expensive ticket to the Alamo Drafthouse CRA feast bc dammit I wanna eat satay when Rachel eats satay and dumplings when everyone is making dumplings and nibble on mahjong shaped biscuits when Rachel destroys Eleanor at the mahjong table.

What was really happening in Crazy Rich Asians’ pivotal mahjong scene

My general knowledge of mahjong from my childhood (thanks Dad!) meant I had a basic idea of the meaning of the tiles in that scene, but I love this blog post that goes so much more in-depth by explaining how powerful it really was.

What was really happening in Crazy Rich Asians’ pivotal mahjong scene

obsessivedilettante:

I just saw Crazy Rich Asians and I loved it. Not just because I have a girl crush on Constance Wu (and her dimples), but it was so satisfying to have a proper rom-com on the big screen for once, where I actually could understand why the main couple are in love and their affection for each other made sense.

Plus it was delightfully filmed – I laughed, I cried, I know exactly what kind of over-the-top wedding I want, and I lost count of the chocoabs scenes.

I need Constace Wu to become the new Julia Roberts and the queen of rom-coms (or anything she wants, tbh – I just need her to star in all the things from now on). I wanna be Awkwafina’s BFF and I definitely wish I could give my mum a hug right now.

One of these days, too, I’ll make my way to Singapore where I’ll spend half my time on Satay Street. (Hey, I have my priorities!)

Apparently I’m not the only one who’s thirsty for the Wu
