One of our awesome regulars brought in lunch for us today and not only is it a super sweet gesture, but it’s perfect timing because I’ve been so busy I haven’t even gone grocery shopping and yesterday I used up my last can of soup that had been sitting on my shelf for… years… (the “good by” date was in 2014 but I’m still alive so it’s still good).
I originally brought a half-bag of pretzels for lunch but now I get to have a proper sandwich. A minor Christmas miracle.
I finally have Xmas cards and am planning to mail the out this weekend (yes I realize it’s cutting it close but procrastination is my middle name).
If you’d like to receive something festive in the mail from me, leave me a message with your address and maybe a name, too, because while I have no problem addressing something to jiyongsexxxypants, I don’t want to confuse your mail person (or family).
I’ll be on mobile so I won’t see messages since I still haven’t upgraded the app, but I’ll try to check in tonight if anyone has questions.
Oh, and I’m happy to mail wherever in the world the US postal system will allow, but international peeps will definitely be getting their cards after Christmas.
Am sad because I just realized I’m working the 24th when the local classical station would be live broadcasting The Festival of Nine Carols and Lessons from King’s College, Cambridge, which is how I’ve habitually celebrated Christmas “in spirit” with my parents, knowing they try to make it to their local cathedral’s performance, too.
