Tagged about age ten i discovered 'the court jester' and that became my new favorite movie ever, all my friends singing 'my heart will go on', and can still quote the majority of the movie to this day, and i'm trying to master the accents in 'barrett's song' and 'lady's maid', and the lady ringing it up condescendingly told me it's for the 'broadway show' NOT the 'movie', and there's probably been other adolescent girls who've made the same mistake, as for the first musical i ever saw live?, bruh i bleed mgm musicals, but NO i knew what i wanted and it was the BROADWAY soundtrack, hmmmm, i don't remember -- probably 'once upon a mattress' or something like that, i had a brief stint of loving 'girl crazy' because of judy garland, i had d'arcy james, i mean i can't blame her because here's an adolescent girl at the height of titanic the movie's popularity, i probably own a copy of it too, i vividly remember going to the local music store (they had those back then), if it's ever been featured in a 'that's entertainment' movie i have watched it, if you've never heard a 4-year-old belt out 'i'm no innocent child baby! keep on treating me wild!', my dad was an amateur opera singer and actor, my first-ever musical i saw ON BROADWAY IN NEW YORK CITY was 'titanic: a new musical', probably more than a dozen times, probably more than once, so i grew up around community theater, then again every three-year-old has their 'wizard of oz' phase, then from about age 5-9 i was obsessed with 'singin' in the rain', they could keep their dicaprio, to buy the soundtrack cd (because those were a thing back then too), well you haven't lived, when i was three i went by the name of 'dorothy' for an entire summer, whoops tag essay
