I don’t understand how after three viewings I’m still the only one who laughed at the “mercado means table in Spanish” line.

Tagged (especially rom-coms like wow i can't remember any rom-com that felt true to life, also i love that these scientists are so smart, and being supportive of each other, and getting excited about niche interests, and patty is a genius, and we never have the kind of conversations that most women in the standard movie do, and yet here they all are being awesome and kicking butt and inspiring a new generation that stem isn't just for the boys, because we are all nerds in our own way, but hanging around talking about weird nerdy science/history stuff, but then also so very not smart in other ways, except for mckinnon who's in her 30's, ghostbusters, go see it, i love it, i love them, i love this movie you guys, i'm not sure what the characters' ages are but definitely in the thirties, if y'know the whole ghost hunting thing was real, like c'mon what kinda whitebread neighborhood am i in, like those high school movies that were nothing like my high school experience), PLUS all the ladies in the movie are in their 40's, so it's extra awesome because that's the age hollywood deems women unfit for leading roles, this is maybe one of the rare films where i'm like 'yeah i can totally see me and friends doing this!', yeah that's cool
