I saw the first 1.5 eps and they were indeed very beautiful! But also very boring. I’ve got too many other dramas right now that interest me more, but I’m keeping it in my Netflix queue for whenever I want to watch something pretty that doesn’t require my full attention and when I need to swoon over Byun Yo Han in period dress.

im kind of wondering if their age gap will be mentioned at all? i didn’t know actors had that much age difference and assumed it’s gonna be a romance between similiar aged people, do you think they’ll make a plot point out of their age difference?
I have no idea. I’m pretty sure there’s gonna be some loveline eventually but so far there hasn’t even been a whiff of it.
Bona is playing older (as is Go Won Hee) – someone in her late 20′s – whereas Ha Suk Jin is playing his age (mid-thirties). So on paper it’s less… skeevy, and probably not worth a mention. But irl a 36-year-old and a 22-year-old are just… sigh…
Not sure if this’ll convince you to watch my ahjussi but so far it’s about the girl screwing everyone over in order to get money. No romance so far but I’m sure it’s coming

Yeah, I’m not even sure of all the details and you can only really find them on Korean sites. His Korean wiki has a link to an entire separate page devoted to it, but his English wiki just lists his filmography.
I don’t think he’s all that well-known internationally and the scandal happened at least a decade ago, when there wasn’t as much by way of international kdrama news (at least for the non-pretty non-young actors and anyone who isn’t an idol).
oh yeah i feel the same way aboyt pretty boys who act shit, but everyone loves them. like are you human too sounds ridiculous, but im anticipating. Seo Kang Joon is a one fine looking man, however entourage just sucked balls, I couldn’t finish it, because it was so dry. There actually many pretty boys who act shit, but everyone loves, but then you’ll have to avod a lot of promising dramas 😭😭😭
There are also a lot of pretty boys who act very well that don’t appeal to me. I judge all the pretty boys, no matter their level of acting skill.
I also avoid a lot of dramas, promising or not, because I only have so much time in the day to watch the ones I actually want to watch.
ok so i am kinda confused about the ending to episode 3 of misty …. what did it mean when she said she waited for him…. like i know she waited for him from before 7 but why did she make him wait 2hrs before she approached him just as he was leaving??
My interpretation is that she wanted to see how committed he was, and that she originally had no intention of actually going to him, but then changed her mind at the last second when she saw him walking away. It’s kind of a power play on her part, since he thinks he loves her more than she loves him, but she seemed to be interested in him from the start to be so curious about him.

I also like to think there’s a part of her that wanted to see him not get everything he wanted for once, since he grew up in a prestigious family, went to a good school, got hired on immediately in a sought after position. He’s kind of got the silver spoon thing going on, while she’s had to fight her way up against the odds.
Again, that’s my interpretation, so for him not to know that she was actually out there waiting even longer for him than he was for her, means he’s unaware that she actually loves him more than he knows, or how much effort she’s willing to put into her marriage. After all, when he proposed, she said she didn’t love him, and he said that he could make her change her mind. Right now he’s convinced that she’s never changed (that she only wants her career and isn’t focused on anything else, including him and their marriage), but actually there is a part of her that loves him, even if she’s refusing to show to him.
Up until the end of the episode, we’ve kind of been under the impression that her relationship with the golf pro fuckboi (pre-pro days) was one of passion – she loved him, but he didn’t have the money or power or family to help her succeed, so she dumped him, and then married the guy with the powerful family and good career that could help her achieve her dreams of becoming an anchorwoman. It’s a marriage of convenience, not love. But her anxious waiting as she watched him wait hours in hopes of having dinner with her means that their marriage might not be as practical as everyone thinks, which is why I’m excited for both of them to start learning why they fell in love in the first place (or for Tae Wook to learn that she actually really does love him, and always has).
And, until those last few minutes when we caught a glimpse of how Hye Ran really felt, I thought it’d be best for the two of them to get divorced since their marriage was a hollow sham. But now it’s not, especially since we’re going to get to the good stuff where he defends her out his sense of honor and duty as a bleeding-heart civil rights attorney, and they both grow closer as they stand together against the world that wants to tear them down. Or so I will imagine for now.
did you ever watch fight my way? i initially wasn’t interested in it but i started watching it and is quite endearing; a lot of personal discovery, healthy friendships, and im enamored by the female lead (even though i hated her character in the heirs!)
No, but it’s on my list to watch eventually. I’ve been a fan of Kim Ji Won ever since What’s Up? and am proud she finally got a lead role in a good drama.
Why have the Hong sisters lost your trust?
Short answer: Big.
The Hong sisters can be hit or miss with me, but usually I think of them as having a fun premise with charismatic characters. But Big was such an epic disaster. Master’s Sun did a bit to redeem themselves, but Warm and Cozy was a total snoozefest. So instead of going, “oh, yay, a Hong Sisters drama! This will probably be fun, like You’re Beautiful or My Girl or Sassy Girl or My Girlfriend is a Gumiho or Hong Gil Dong!” I now go, “ahhhh, hmmm, the Hong sisters… okay… maybe this will be good, but… not going to have expectations…”
Their early stuff was fun and enjoyable and cracktastic, but I just haven’t felt that from them in their last few projects. And did I mention Big?
