what are your thoughts on the reaper goblin pair

I love them.

They’ve earned the “totally married” tag for whatever ends up in my queue.

I feel like you might be seeking a more indepth answer but honestly I don’t have the capability to give this drama my full attention so I don’t have any more thoughts than “these two bickering supernatural dumbs who need each other.” I know, thanks to foolishly going into the Lee Dong Wook tag before I’ve watched the last two episodes, that their bromance reaches a hiccup due to Reaper’s past life as the king (*shakes fist at KES for not going with my pet theory*), buuuuuuuuuuut honestly I don’t really care. I probably ought to, but all this drama has instilled in me is an earnest desire for a Reaper spin-off that’s basically just an office drama.

Hi. Why do you think Joon Young’s mum is mentally ill?

The way she manipulates her family by playing the victim and then bullying them, and how father and son have had to tiptoe around her to avoid her breaking out into one of her moods. Joon Young found the body in the first place because he’d rather go to school early than listen to his parents fight, and their fight (at least what we heard of it) was mostly her making herself into the victim (”I want a divorce” and “maybe I should just die then”) while Dad tried to get her to calm down. She blames all her troubles on her son. Her response to the news that Joon Young was going to be in the trial was to try and destroy his things, and it didn’t look like it was the first time (which is backed up by the fact you could hear her destroying something breakable in one of her previous fights). It wasn’t exactly a healthy reaction (anger, yes – the destructive way she went about expressing it, no). Maybe she has a good reason for treating her son like dirt beneath her shoe, and maybe she is genuinely sick with a physical ailment, but I feel like she must have some sort of personality disorder, perhaps on the borderline spectrum.

I must be the only Kdrama fan in the world who is NOT watching Goblin. LOL. I just don’t feel very compelled to watch it as yet.

Speaking as someone who seems to find herself on the opposite side of most popular dramas, I promise there are more like you than you think! But usually people not watching dramas aren’t as vocal so it just feels more lonely when it seems like everyone else is watching.

Maybe you can help me out, because I’m a little confused as to why Gong Yoo became a goblin in the first place. Maybe I didn’t understand it right, but he became a goblin because he had the blood of all the people he killed on his hands. But if that’s right, the entire army, and the people they were fighting would be goblins too wouldn’t they?

You’re asking the person who literally fast forwarded through the origin story under the assumption the important bits would be repeated as needed.

My sassy answer is he became a goblin because he’s the lead.
