This writer and I have very different viewpoints when it comes to romance, but man do I love the magic that Jeon Ji Hyun makes with her characters. It doesn’t even really matter how you feel about LMH because it could be any pretty-boy playing the role – there’s nothing really special about his character.
But the fact that the mermaid has so few lines yet says so much? Amazing. Jeon Ji Hyun is proving why she’s worthy of the nickname goddess and I swear I would happily watch twenty hours of just her unabashed joy as she figures out the human world, which is what I’m hoping 99.99% of this show will be about. If the writer hurts my precious mermaid with some stupid angst that supposed to be considered romantic, there’ll be hell to pay.
