It’s my Friday, peeps! I was going to do something responsible but instead I’m settling in with the internet and cooking competition shows. Feel free to be chatty or send me an ask or somethin’, or I’ll probably continue to blather on twitter about how much I love Handsome Oppa.
Hey it’s Sunday which is actually my Friday and I’m trying to figure out what tv show to fall asleep to because I’m apparently a boring 80-year-old woman, but if y’all want to chat or stop by to say “hey” or whatever, I’m here until I fall asleep.

Getting caught up on things/watching dramas/being stupid on tumblr right now, so if anyone wants to say “hi” or tell me their favorite thing that happened this week or ask me anything or remind me that social media is social and not just me queueing posts and forgetting about it, then please, have at!
so i’ve only been following you for about a month, so i don’t have all your nuances/faves/history down yet, so: question time! (for things not covered in the faq) favorite actress? fave kpop groups/artists? when/how/why did you get into dramas? Favorite pieces of media outside of dramaland? how quickly can you do the Vessel With the Pestle bit?
Hi! And welcome! Tbh I’m not sure I even have all my nuances and faves down myself, so I’d be impressed if you figured that all out in a month.
On to the questions:
- favorite actress?
I’ve been on an Im Joo Eun kick for Woozily reasons, but she’s definitely a long-term fave and I’m hoping she finds a break-through eventually. (Fun fact: my twitter/DB avatar is Dong Ah from Wild Romance)
- fave kpop groups/artists?
Big Bang; Brown Eyed Girls; Wonder Girls; MBLAQ; CNBLUE; FTIsland; Infinite; 2NE1; miss A; f(x); B1A4 (basically anything pre-2012 bc I’m so out of touch)
- when/how/why did you get into dramas?
I’ll watch just about anything tbh and a friend introduced me to jdramas, where I promptly fell in love with the high-school manga adaptations (HANA KIMI 4LYFE). Then there was this Hana Yori Dango remake that I kept hearing about, and the rest is BoF gateway drug history (no I don’t know why I latched onto kdramas instead of jdramas when normally I seem to prefer the jdrama versions but life is a mystery, y’know?)
- Favorite pieces of media outside of dramaland?
Like, other tv shows that aren’t dramas?
Veronica Mars; Parks & Rec; Gilmore Girls; Arrested Development; Pushing Daisies; RTD-era Doctor Who; Slings & Arrows; Psych; The OC; Lois & Clark; anything that remotely resembles a cooking competition
- how quickly can you do the Vessel With the Pestle bit?
Depends on whether or not it’s before or after they broke the chalice from the palace.
What are your favorite dramas involving magic, mystical beings and the like? ^_^
Apparently I don’t watch a lot of dramas that fit this genre because I was all gung-ho to answer, but could only come up with Arang and the Magistrate.
Wait, there’s also Surplus Princess (mermaids!).
I don’t know that I would list Padam, Padam as a favorite drama, but I adored Gooksoo.
Dudes, it’s Sunday and I’m watching 1N2D until I fall asleep, so come hang out and chat with me while I’m still awake!
Cleaning my house since I’m out of work due to a back injury. I think I’m coming out of my drama slump though. My pace is a little slow, but I’m enjoying the dramas I’m watching right now.
Aw, I’m sorry to hear about your back. I hope you’re resting, too! I should be cleaning my house but instead I’m being a lazy bum. Maybe I’ll take out the trash and feel like I’ve accomplished something.
I’m glad you’re enjoying the dramas right now! There’s no prize ribbon for being the first to finish a drama. The story will still be there, waiting for you. ^_^

Yay! It’s totally worth it!
I finished Hogu’s Love a few weeks ago, and I enjoyed that drama very well. I saw some of your posts about the drama, so I decided to try it. I’m glad I did. I enjoyed the adorableness of it. Thank you. Choi Woo Shik-ssi is LOVE. I was pleasantly surprised with Uee. I didn’t know she had that in her. Overall, I love the quirkiness of the drama, and the way they tackle sensitive issues. My only compliant was the ending for the gay/bi/straight character. Have a good night!!!
Yeah, the “oh whew he’s really a girl so I’m not gay after all!” was pretty disappointing, although I did enjoy the way the character explored the possibility as was willing to accept the answer before “the truth” was revealed.
My only other complaint would be the fact that the rapist gets away with it. *shakes fist at the patriarchy*
It’s one of those dramas that I never remember without prompting, but when I do, I realize how many good scenes and moments it had.
