These people also wrote Giant (and Empress Ki), right? I’d think they’d know how to pace a 50-ep drama…presumably…

You’d think, especially since Empress Ki was gripping up until the very end, and while I still haven’t moved further than half-way through Giant (60 eps, though!), I thought the pacing was well-done from what I did see.

I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact it’s a different director than they’ve used before, because I was thinking we’d get something more like Giant based on what I knew of it before the premiere. But instead it’s more like History of a Salaryman/Incarnation of Money lite. I think it’s at its best when it comes to the comedy and spy stuff, but it seems to be a little bogged down and confused by all the daddy issues/business politics.
